Frequently asked questions
The apprenticeships programmes range from level 2 up to level 7.
Levels 4 and 5 are designated higher apprenticeships equivalent to the first or second year of a foundation degree.
Levels 6 and 7 are intended to be the equivalent to a bachelor's degree and a master's degree.

The duration of the apprenticeship programme will be dependent on the occupational standard, the minimum duration is 12 months.
It can usually take around four years to complete an apprenticeship. Please check the apprenticeship standard specification for the length of the programme.
You can apply to an organisation with an apprenticeship vacancy, as you would any other job.
You will then go through a selection process, which can vary depending on the organisation, and, if successful, will then be offered the apprenticeship.
You can find an apprenticeship on GOV.UK or UCAS.
Once you've secured your apprenticeship, you can enrol with the University of Roehampton, with approval from your employer.
The entry to a higher and degree apprenticeship is through your employer.
As an apprentice, you are required to:
- Be employed in a relevant job for a minimum of 30 hours per week and have approval from your employer to under the programme
- Have been a UK/EU/ESS resident for the past three years or more prior to starting the programme
- Adhere to the programme specific competencies and entry requirements
Yes. Funding is available to all graduates, regardless of their experience or age.
The apprenticeship must be significantly different to the credential you already have, so that new skills are being learnt.
No. The cost of the apprenticeship is paid by your employer.
