Guide to UCAS tariff points and entry requirements

Our undergraduate course entry requirements are based on UCAS tariff points.

You’ll find the entry requirements listed at the top of each course page.

We’ve put together all the information you need to help you calculate your UCAS tariff points and how you need to meet the entry requirements for the course you’re interested in studying.

What are UCAS tariff points?

UCAS tariff points are when your qualifications and grades are put into a numerical value, based on the level of your qualification and grade you’ve achieved.

Courses with a tariff range

Some of our undergraduate courses have tariff ranges, e.g. 112 – 120. All this means is that you can be accepted on a course if you have slightly different UCAS points.

We vary the entry requirements, as we don’t just look at your grades when you apply to study with us. We take into account your personal statement, your predicted grades and through our contextual offers scheme, we look at your achievements and future potential.

Specific entry requirements

You may also find that some of our courses have specific entry requirements, such as subject specific grades in level 3 qualifications like A-levels or a minimum grade in English language in GCSE or IELTS.

You will find details about entry requirements for each course, under the applying section on the course page.
