So where is Roehampton we hear you ask?
Roehampton is based in leafy southwest London, in-between the neighbourhoods of Putney, Wimbledon, Richmond and Barnes.

Some of our students’ top local spots are:
From some of the best sporting venues in the world, to fringe entertainment venues, there is so much to explore in southwest London and its different neighbourhoods.
What better way to see if we're the university for you, than getting to know a bit more about us.
“It’s easy to travel to the city, there’s multiple train stations, that have different connections as well. It’s about 15 minutes from central London and there’s also Putney High Street. The Roehampton bus, which is free for students makes it cheap to get around.”
Rebecca, BA Primary Education

We’re a short walk from Barnes station. Trains from Waterloo, Clapham Junction, Richmond, Hounslow, Twickenham and Weybridge all run through here often.
If you’re studying at Whitelands College (just a 10 minute walk away from main campus), you can also travel to Putney overground station and jump on the 85 or 430 bus.
Putney Bridge is our nearest tube station, on the District Line. You can get the 265 public bus there, or even better jump on our free shuttle bus!
We’re also close to Hammersmith tube station, which is on the Piccadilly, District, Hammersmith & City and Circle lines. You just need to get the 419 bus to the river and then it’s a 10 minute walk to the tube station.
Main campus: 265, 419, 493, N72 and N74
Whitelands campus: 85, 430, 265, 419, 493, N72 and N74
Heathrow is our closest airport. It’s about 30 minutes away by car or taxi, and just over an hour away by public transport.
Gatwick is also easy to get to, and is about 45 minutes away by car, and an hour on public transport.
To make getting to university and around London even easier, and to keep down your travel costs, we run our free shuttle bus during term time.
What’s the route?
Lots of our students commute to Roehampton, either if they live at home with family, or choose to rent privately.
“As a commuting student, I appreciate the convenience of the free Roehampton bus service, and access to facilities like the library canteen and computing labs, which you’ll find me in often!”
David, BSc Cyber Security
We’re lucky in that all of our accommodation is on-campus.
