The University of Roehampton is excited to announce that its BSc Sport and Exercise Science programme has achieved endorsement from the British Association of Sport and Exercise Sciences (BASES), following a successful application for the BASES Undergraduate Endorsement Scheme (BUES).
BASES is the leading professional body for sport and exercise sciences in the UK, known for promoting evidence-based practices and setting high ethical standards within the field.
This endorsement highlights that our Sport and Exercise Science programme meets the highest scientific standards, ensuring that students receive an education grounded in best practices for both teaching and professional application. It also demonstrates the programme’s commitment to fostering ethical, evidence-based learning in the field.
With BASES endorsement, Roehampton graduates will be well-positioned to enter the competitive job market. The endorsement not only enhances employability but also supports students on their journey towards professional accreditation. It provides graduates with a distinct advantage, boosting their recognition among employers and clients in the sport and exercise industry.
The endorsement applies to the following programmes:
- BSc (Hons) Sport and Exercise Science
- BSc (Hons) Sport and Exercise Science with Placement Year
- BSc (Hons) Sport and Exercise Science with Foundation Year

The BASES endorsement is valid from January 2025 to January 2030, offering students and graduates professional recognition that will boost career opportunities, career progression, and credibility within the fitness industry.
