If you wish to apply for a place on one of our postgraduate research degrees programmes (MPhil, PhD, EdD, or PsychD), download the relevant application pack. If you require a hard copy of the application pack please contact the Admissions Office, for international/EU students, email: internationaladmissions@roehampton.ac.uk; for home students, email: pgadmissions@roehampton.ac.uk, with your name, postal address and proposed area of research.

    Finding a supervisor

We advise prospective students to contact a relevant member of academic staff before submitting an application to check that appropriate supervisory expertise is available for the proposed project. You can find a list of academic staff and their research interests in the relevant Research Centre or Academic Department. If you do not know who you would like to supervise your proposed research project, you should contact the relevant departmental Research Degrees Convener, who will be able to advise you.

    Admissions process

If your application and references - which should be enclosed with your application - are satisfactory and appropriate supervisory support would be available, the University will arrange an interview with you. In addition to the completed application form, the Department may ask for an example of your previous written work (for example, a chapter from an MA thesis).

If your interview is successful you will be invited to register with the University. During the course of your programme you will be required to obtain formal University approval of your research before commencing your research project.
